The Pro arte Gallery first opened its doors to the public in 2015. The gallery’s exhibition spaces are located in the Wratislaw Palace in the heart of the diplomatic and business quarter adjacent to Prague Castle.

The first exhibition, entitled On the Waves of Modernism, presented a portion of the fund’s portfolio and included works by František Kupka and Josef Šíma as well as Toyen’s iconic painting Paradise of the Blacks. Since then, a number of salon events have been held at the gallery in order to present works of art purchased by the fund to potential investors, art experts and members of the public. These works have since been exhibited by prominent European art institutions.

In addition to classic pieces, the Pro arte Gallery is also dedicated to exhibiting the works of contemporary artists, some of whom have created pieces specifically for the gallery space itself or for the adjacent baroque garden. Successful undertakings include e.g. the spring 2017 exhibition of Jaromír 99, the creator of the Alois Nebel graphic novel and a respected Czech artist.

In keeping with its mission to support young talented artists with significant international potential, the gallery presented pieces e.g. by conceptual artist Rudolf Samohejl, the Brno-based street artist Timo and documentary filmmaker and civil activist Vladimír Turner.
