Thanks to intensive acquisition activities conducted in the Czech Republic and abroad, the Fund has established an extensive network of contacts with both domestic and foreign partners. The works of Czech artists – purchased abroad by the Fund and subsequently sold to public and private collections – introduce onto the Czech art market works of the highest quality, many of which have been considered lost or unavailable. Simultaneously, the Fund’s activities help promote interest in Czech art abroad as well as interest in top international works on the domestic market.
Thanks to a strong financial base, Pro arte is capable of purchasing a work of art and processing payment in a matter of days.
A sale to Pro arte leaves no digital footprint. All transactions are strictly private.
Pro arte is a financial institution supervised by the Czech National Bank as well as by our investors. All of the Fund’s business transactions are subject to a rigorous multi-stage inspection process.
In the case of a direct sale, no intermediary commission is required of the seller (this may amount up to 40 % of the final price in the case of some auction houses). No additional fees for expert opinions, restoration, framing, etc. are charged. Any such costs are covered directly by Pro arte.
Each work is inspected by a team of experts within a short period of time. In principle, the seller may retain the work until the transaction is completed; no transportation expenses thus apply.
